Imagined Spaces
Imagined Spaces is a series of sonic explorations commissioned by CONGREGATION. Each playlist is a collaboration with artists who respond to a multi-sensory brief - evoking places that exist in memory, imagination, or desire. These soundscapes are designed to transport listeners to environments shaped by light, texture, scent, and atmosphere.

Faceless Kiss
Our first collaboration is with Faceless Kiss, a London-based ambient and experimental duo, who have crafted a sonic atmosphere for a listening bar in a boutique hotel in Marfa, Texas: long shadows on adobe walls, brass fixtures catching the last light, the dry scent of sage carried on the desert wind.
Matt Nightingle
Picture this: a courtyard on Giudecca at dusk. Cast iron chairs, cracked limestone, the heat of the day still rising from the stone. The air carries traces of bitter orange, cardamom and smoked myrrh. A white Negroni glows in the fading light — cold, botanical, a little saline.
The system warms with brushed snares and upright bass before slipping into broken beat and global groove. Vinyl breathes between tracks. The sound wraps the space. The city listens back.
